Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Baptist HSS Android application (the “App”), published by Baptist Higher Secondary School (“we”, “us”, the “School”), handles information. Please read it before using the App.

The short version

The App is a simple launcher. It shows three buttons — Admission Application, School Website and Results — and opens the School’s web pages in your phone’s browser. The App itself does not collect, store, or share any personal information. It contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and requests no special device permissions.

Information the App collects

None. The App has no sign-in of its own, no forms, and no background data collection. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, files, or device identifiers, and it does not create an account or profile.

Links to School web pages

Tapping School Website or Results opens a School web page in your own browser (for example Chrome). Those web pages, not the App, handle any information you enter there:

• Results portal. To view an examination result, a student enters their roll number, class and date of birth; school staff sign in with their Google account. This information is processed by the School’s result system to locate and display the correct result. It is used only for that purpose and is not sold or shared for advertising.
• School website. The School’s public website (baptisthss.in) is informational.

The Admission Application button is not yet active (“Coming soon”) and currently collects nothing. This policy will be updated before that feature accepts any information.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for use by students, parents and staff of the School. Because the App collects no personal information, it collects none from children. Any result lookup on the linked web page is initiated by the student or their parent/guardian using details the School already holds.

Data sharing and security

We do not sell personal information. Because the App stores no data on your device or on our servers, there is nothing for the App to lose or expose. Information entered on the linked result portal is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App’s features change (for example when the Admission Application goes live). The “Last updated” date above will change accordingly, and the current version will always be available at this address.
